A man walked into a northwest Wichita hospital with multiple stab wounds Sunday morning, authorities said.

The victim walked into Via Christi Hospital on St. Teresa, near 21st and 151st Street West, shortly before 9 a.m. with multiple stab wounds, a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. A language barrier was creating difficulty in sorting out what happened, but the victim said he was stabbed near Amidon between 21st and 29th streets earlier on Sunday morning.

Authorities have not released the victim’s age or a suspect description.
