A Wichita woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash on I-135 Thursday evening, authorities said.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reports that Ruminko Johnson, 37, was driving south on the interstate shortly before 7 p.m. when her 2006 Impala left the right lane near the Harry Street exit, went into the ditch and hit two fences.

It’s not clear why Johnson’s car drifted off the road, according to the agency report. She was taken to Wesley Medical Center for treatment. She was in critical condition Friday morning, but her condition had been upgraded to fair by Friday evening.

Johnson was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash, the highway patrol’s accident report stated.
