Three people were hurt Wednesday after an SUV rear-ended a man mowing a median along I-70 in Sherman County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reports 58-year-old Kevin R. Browne, of Blacksburg, Va., veered off of the interstate about 9:47 a.m. and struck the mower. The SUV he was driving eastbound rolled once and landed on its roof, injuring both Browne and his 58-year-old passenger, Linda Browne.

Both were taken to Goodland Regional Medical Center and later airlifted to Denver Health Hospital, KHP reports.

The driver of the mower, 23-year-old Jonathan McClung, of Goodland, also suffered injuries. He was taken to Goodland Regional Medical Center for treatment, according to the highway patrol.
