Buddy the Goofball, a 5-year-old male shepherd-boxer mix, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.

I love going on walks. I’d love to go through all the parks and trails with you. Then after our walk, we can just relax. You should visit me at KHS so we can start having fun together right away.

Also available:

• Jamie the Go Getter, 12-year-old male Jack Russell terrier mix

I’m a guy who loves being active. Are we going on a walk? I’ll get the leash. Are you walking to the kitchen? I’ll follow you in there. Is that a Kong chew toy? You just made my day. You should visit your new best friend at KHS.

• Peanut the Kitten, 2-month-old male kitten, domestic shorthair mix

Hi there! My name is Peanut. I love to play with all sorts of toys. Would you like to play with me? We could toss a toy mouse around or even play with a string. That sounds like so much fun. You should come to KHS so we can start playing right away.

• Cinder the Personal Assistant, 3-year-old female cat, comestic shorthair mix

You know what’s great about having a personal assistant? I can clear your busy schedule and pencil you in for some relaxing cat cuddling. Those busy days will be no more with me looking over your schedule. Come to KHS today so you can meet the best personal assistant ever.

• Coco the Guinea Pig, 6-month-old female guinea pig

Hi, I’m Coco. I’m a curious and fun-loving gal. I would make a great pet for someone in an apartment or for a first-time pet owner. I love to run around in my cage and I really like to be held. You should visit me at KHS today.
