The Wingnuts lost their fourth straight game, falling to the AirHogs 7-4 on Thursday night in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Wichita hit three homers in the game — Abel Nieves’ solo shot in the second, Ryan Khoury’s solo blast in the third and Colt Loehrs’ two-run homer in the ninth.

But the power surge wasn’t enough to five the Wingnuts a lead at any point.

Grand Prairie scored three runs in the first off Wranglers starter Anthony Capra, opening the game with four consecutive singles and a sacrifice fly.

The AirHogs added two runs in the third with a two-out rally. Capra allowed a single then walked two batters, loading the bases ahead of a two-run single by Yasutsugo Nishimoto that made it 5-2.

Grand Prairie added a run in the fourth when Juan Richardson drove in his third run of the game, and another in the sixth.

The teams conclude their four-game series tonight. The Wingnuts return home for six games beginning Saturday against Amarillo.
