AirHogs starter Jared Mortensen held Wichita to six hits and struck out 10 in eight innings. Patrick Mincey picked up the save for the second consecutive game.

Grand Prairie scored single runs in the third, fourth and sixth innings against Wingnuts starter Junior Guerra (4-1), who suffered his first loss of the season.

Colt Loehrs had a pair of singles, and was the only Wingnuts player with more than one hit.

Wichita’s lead in the Central Division has shrunk to a half-game edge over Gary SouthShore.
