Gunshots struck a home and a car following a confrontation between five people who had been to a nightclub and four people who followed them home, Wichita police said Saturday.

The group of five — four women and one man — had scuffled with the four other men at the club on North Broadway, a few blocks from where the shooting occurred, said Sgt. Scott Brunow.

After the group left the club, they went to a home in the 3300 block of North Market about 1:50 a.m. Saturday. One of the men who followed the group home pulled out a handgun and fired five rounds, Brunow said.

No one was injured, although one bullet hit the car belonging to the woman and another hit a nearby residence, Brunow said.

Police are seeking an 18-year-old man, who was known to one of the victims, as the suspected shooter, he said.
