A 33-year-old man was awakened in a park by two men who assaulted him and stole the keys to his green 1996 Ford Ranger pickup truck about 12:30 a.m. Friday, police said.

The two then took the truck and drove away, stranding the man in the park, in the 600 block of east Douglas.

He walked to a nearby QuikTrip and reported the incident to police, after which EMS took him to Wesley Medical Center with minor injuries.

Police said most of his injuries were simply alcohol-related.

His truck has not been located.
