The crime

About midnight on June 15, the Sedgwick County Fire Department responded to an alarm at Teddy Bear’s, 4858 S. Clifton. After the fire at the nightclub had been extinguished, it was determined that the rear door had been forced open and the blaze was intentionally set. Firefighters were again called to Teddy Bear’s about 5:30 a.m. on June 20. Investigators have ruled that second fire was also arson. Damage is estimated at $84,000.
