Editor's note: An earlier version of this story contained an incorrect phone number.

The city says it has streamlined the way customers can pay water bills online, effective July 25.

Customers will be able to create their own user profile and password to log in to the system. Bills for multiple water accounts can be paid from the profile without remembering an account number, and protected payment data like banking or credit card numbers can be stored, according to Shawn Henning, the city’s finance director.

A $1 convenience fee will be added to online and phone utility payments. Easy pay payments, mail payments, payments at authorized collection stations and payments in person at the City Hall express office, 455 N. Main, can be made without the convenience fee.
