Compare pros and cons of Southeast High plans

  • Published Monday, June 24, 2013, at 12 a.m.

Each Monday, The Eagle highlights a government record that is available to the public. Open records help people keep government in check and help them better understand how government affects their lives.

For a complete list of You Oughta Know columns, go to www.kansas.com/oughta.

The record: A “study matrix” comparing options for the future of Southeast High School, which the Wichita school board will vote on Monday.

Why you’d want it: To get a clear, side-by-side picture of the options, including costs. The study matrix is basically a fancy pro and con list.

Where you get it: Go to the school district’s website, www.usd259.com. Click on the “Bond Issue” link on the left-hand side of the home page. Then click on the first link, highlighted in yellow. Under the “What’s New” menu, click on the link for the study matrix.

How much does it cost: The information is free.
