The victim, a 29-year-old man, then drove to the nearby Taco Bell and called police from there. When police arrived, they found a gun at the shooting scene at Wendy’s, according to Brower.

The shooting victim was taken to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis. His condition is not known. Law enforcement authorities had blocked off much of the parking lot between Taco Bell and Wendy’s as of 7:45 p.m. Sunday. Police are searching for a person who drove away from the scene in a maroon Ford Explorer, according to a Sedgwick County dispatcher.
