A 53-year-old man would not tell police what happened to him early Sunday morning after he flagged down a female driver in the 9200 block of East Harry, telling her only that he had been stabbed.

The man was taken to Wesley Medical Center for stab wounds to his left foot and right torso, according to Sgt. Bart Brunscheen, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.

Police officers found what looked like a disturbance in the 900 block of South Mission, but the 53-year-old man refused to give officers any statements as to what had happened, Brunscheen said.

The incident remains under investigation by police.
