Runners young and old turned out Saturday morning for the Ballet Wichita 5K Art Run.

The race began at A. Price Woodard Park and took runners along the streets and bike paths of downtown Wichita.

Runners had a chance to have their shoes or feet coated with paint to leave footprints on a painting that will become a billboard. Nationally recognized artist Rachel Kice of Wichita will finish the painting with her interpretation of the race.
