Fire damaged a duplex in southeast Wichita early Friday morning, authorities said.

The fire was reported at 4:21 a.m. at 4315 E. Lincoln, a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. That’s in the Hilltop neighborhood, about four blocks west of Oliver.

Fire crews reported seeing flames when they arrived on the scene at 4:26 a.m., the supervisor said, and were able to put out the fire in little more than 15 minutes.

No one was home at the time of the fire, Fire Lt. Joe Evans said. A cause has not yet been determined.

The fire was contained to a bedroom, Evans said, though there is smoke damage throughout the structure.

Damage was set at $30,000 to the duplex and its contents.
