A man in his mid-50s was killed in a one-car crash on 119th Street West just north of Kellogg at about 8:45 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The driver, whose name police are not releasing until Thursday, was southbound on 119th Street when he lost control of his Suzuki SUV, veering across oncoming traffic and running into a tree, police said Wednesday.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Wichita police Lt. Joe Schroeder said the department is investigating whether a medical condition may have contributed to the crash.
