The Wingnuts scored seven runs to back another effective out from starter Roy Hinson in a 7-2 win over the Saints on Saturday night in St. Paul, Minn.

Jake Kahaulelio homered in the first inning for the second straight night, driving in Ryan Khoury for a quick 2-0 lead. The Wingnuts added two more runs in the fourth on Jared McDonald’s two-run double. In the sixth Wichita scored three runs — Kahaulelio drove in the McDonald with a single, C.J. Ziegler drew a bases-loaded walk to score Khoury, and Cole Armstrong hit a sacrifice fly.

Hinson retired nine straight batters after allowing a first-inning double. He gave up a two-run homer to Dwight Childs in the fourth, then retired the next seven in order and finished with six strikeouts in 7 1/3 innings as he improved to 3-1.
