The Miller family, Randy, Patricia and son Justin, show off their beautifully restored green '53 Chevy pickup truck. Randy originally intended to hot rod the truck, but is thankful now that he resisted the urge and kept everything basically stock.
The factory-installed 216 cubic inch 6-cylinder engine was rebuilt by Randy Miller, who couldn't resist installing a set of Williams headers and dual exhaust. He may eventually upgrade to a twin-carb intake manifold for a bit more power.
As green as Ireland in springtime, an open field across from the Millers' home is the perfect setting for their gorgeous green Chevy pickup truck. The wide whitewall bias-ply Coker tires, trim rings and button hubcaps give the truck some addes 'pizzaz,' says Randy Miller.
A look at the other side of the powerplant reveals the clean build; a chrome valve cover brightens things up under the hood. The factory radiator didn't survive the restoration, sadly, and had to be replaced.
