Police are looking for suspects who fired multiple shots from two cars in southeast Wichita early Wednesday morning.

A woman called police at about 2:30 a.m. to report the shots fired at Cottonwood and Mission, which is south of Kellogg and east of Woodlawn, Lt. Doug Nolte said.

She was looking out her window when she spotted two cars with their lights on and heard four or five shots fired, he said. The vehicles then sped off, he added.

Officers found shell casings in the area. They checked the neighborhood but didn’t find anyone injured or property damaged from the shots, Nolte said.

If anyone has information about the incident, they are asked to call police at 316-268-4646 or Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
