A 16-year-old boy’s minibike was reportedly stolen by two other teens Friday afternoon as he was riding it in northeast Wichita, according to a spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.

The 16-year-old told police the pair of boys approached him near 25th and Gentry, east of Hillside, about 4 p.m. and struck him with a stick while he was on the minibike, Sgt. Bruce Watts said. When the 16-year-old fell off, the two other teens fled with the vehicle, he said.

Watts said the boy told police his assailants were about his age. He provided no detailed description of the suspects.

The 16-year-old refused medical attention, Watts said.
