The city may have to provide free rent and city water if it wants to keep professional baseball in Wichita. Otherwise, Lawrence-Dumont Stadium might sit empty and not provide rental income anyway.

The school-lunch program is just another example of a well-intended mandate that does not fit reality. You provide a healthy meal to kids, and most of it ends up in the trash.

I am willing to bet the administrators at Wichita Heights High School will never admit they overreacted to the senior’s tweet.

On May 7 it took me from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to be seen at the driver’s license office. The state should get a refund for the software. The taxpayers’ money was wasted. I must say all the employees there were patient and kind, even with children crying and unhappy customers.

A reader said people with 6-foot privacy fences usually have something to hide. But our fence protects our small dogs from the dogs running loose because of their irresponsible owners.

Why don’t more grocery stores have angled parking in front, so people with disabilities can park without crossing traffic?

I like red lights. They give me a chance to put my lipstick on.
