Ben Bush walks on the wing of a B-24 Liberator during a flight check before it took off from Colonel James Jabara Airport. The plane will be there through Wednesday as part of The Wings of Freedom tour.
The photo on the left was taken in the early afternoon with an overhead sun causing harsh and unpleasant shadows on the subject's face. A technique called "fill-flash" where you use your camera's flash to fill in those shadows can be very effective in these situations. (April 25, 2013)
This photo was taken underwater by 7-year-old Alexis Jungman. Underwater cameras have decreased in price dramatically in the past few years. Many underwater point-and-shoot cameras are now under $100 and are easy enough for a 7-year-old to use.
Twirling Fourth of July fireworks. This photo was taken with a CanonS95 point-and-shoot on the manual setting which allowed me to leave the shutter open long enough to get the motion. Most point-and-shoot cameras have a similar option.
