Dove the Constant Companion, a 7 1/2-year-old female Newfoundland-Labrador mix, 82 pounds, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.

Hi, I’m Dove. I’m a big fan of spending time with people. I think they’re fun. They love watching the coolest movies and going to the most awesome parks. My tail is wagging just thinking about all the fun we are going to have together. You should come to KHS and meet your new best friend.

Also available:

•  Loki the Goofball, 9 1/2 year-old male purebred Labrador retriever, 102 pounds

I hear you’re looking for an awesome companion. Well, look no further. I love car rides and hanging out with people, and I’m housetrained. Pretty much the best combination, right? You should come down to KHS to see how much of a perfect match we are.

•  Porky the Executive, 6-year-old male cat, domestic shorthair mix

I’m ready to take charge; that’s why I’m called an executive. I’m capable of making the tough decisions. Am I having tuna or salmon for dinner? The executive in me says both. I’ve had experience working with other animals as well. I’ve lived with cats and dogs. You should stop by KHS and see how well we work together.

•  Madison the Leader of the Band, 1-year-old female cat, domestic shorthair mix

Hi, I’m Madison. I can’t talk long; see, I’m in the middle of catching this flying string. I’m an active cat that loves to be around people. I like having fun and receiving attention. You should come to KHS and so you can meet with an awesome cat like me.

•  Oliver the Secret Admirer, 4-year-old male cat, domestic medium-hair mix

Hi, I’m Oliver. I’m a little shy at first, but once I get to know you, I’m all cuddles. We’ll take cat naps together. And when you’re not there, I’ll claim the recliner and nap. I just know we’re going to have a great time together. You should come to KHS and visit with your new cuddle buddy today.
