An officer investigating a pickup parked in the Hilltop neighborhood of southeast Wichita on Tuesday found stolen property linked to 10 different criminal cases, police said.

The officer was responding to a 911 call shortly after 11:30 a.m. Tuesday about the blue Ford F-150 pickup parked in the 1400 block of South Pershing, Lt. Joe Schroeder said. That’s northwest of Harry and Oliver.

“The officer found a large amount of stolen property,” Schroeder said.

Among the recovered items were stolen credit cards, Social Security numbers, iPods, clothing, debit cards, checks and jewelry, he said. Upon reviewing the recovered items, police identified 12 victims from 10 different cases. Two of the cases had not been reported to the police yet.

The pickup had been reported stolen by a military service member who is currently deployed, Schroeder said.

No suspects have been identified in the case yet, he said.
