Watch out, bond skips.

Duane “Dog” Chapman and his wife, Beth, are on the hunt in Hutchinson.

The Chapmans were spotted leaving downtown Wichita’s Ambassador Hotel on Tuesday afternoon, apparently en route to Hutchinson.

By early evening, a growing crowd hoping to catch a glimpse of the “Dog the Bounty Hunter” stars had gathered outside Barb’s Bail Bonds, said Rena Smith, general manager of the Hutchinson-based company.

“There are a couple of specific cases that we want him to help us with. But we’re going to keep them under wraps,” said Smith, who hoped “Dog” would come to Kansas after she met him in February at a national bail bondsman convention in Las Vegas.

Smith said the Chapmans’ visit is being filmed – possibly for broadcast on their reality TV show – and the pair will likely help evaluate the business in what could be a multiday stay.

“I’m just very excited about having him here and having him in Hutchinson,” she said. “The crowd is tremendous.”
