Cinco de Mayo celebrations to continue Sunday in Wichita

Cinco de Mayo celebrations continue Sunday in Wichita.

Among them is the Sedgwick County Zoo’s annual party, which runs from noon to 6 p.m. at the zoo, 5555 W. Zoo Blvd. Festivities include Mexican-food vendors and live music.

The cost is regular zoo admission: $13.95 for adults, $8.95 for children ages 3 to 11, free for ages 2 or younger and for members.

Also on Sunday, the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, 1600 W. 27th St. North, will hold an outdoor bilingual worship service at 10:45 a.m. followed by a Cinco de Mayo festival from noon to 3 p.m.

Activities include a taco bar, pinatas, a picture booth, crafts and games. Those attending are encouraged to bring a blanket or chairs.
