A 36-year-old man was rushed to Wesley Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his abdomen after a shooting in Park City on Friday, a Sedgwick County dispatcher said.

The man is in critical condition, the dispatcher said. The person who called 911 told dispatchers he accidentally shot his friend with a .22 magnum, according to emergency radio traffic.

The shooting was reported around 9 p.m. in the 1600 block of East Gary, the dispatcher said. That’s west of Hydraulic and north of East 61st Street North.
