Rollover crash on northbound I-135 injures one, ties up traffic

A single-vehicle rollover accident near the Eighth and Ninth Street exit on northbound I-135 left a 35-year-old woman pinned in her car and tied up traffic during the Tuesday afternoon commute, authorities said. The accident was reported around 3:30 p.m.

The woman was driving a 2000 Chevy passenger car too fast as she tried to take the exit, causing the vehicle to tip up on its side, the Kansas Highway Patrol said in an online crash report.

The woman was taken to Wesley Medical Center with minor injuries, authorities said.

Authorities closed the northbound on-ramp at First and Second Street as well as at Central, and blocked traffic trying to exit northbound on I-135 from Kellogg until authorities cleared the wreckage.
