A citizens group charged with reviewing bond issue projects and spending will meet Thursday evening at Christa McAuliffe Academy in southeast Wichita and could discuss options for Southeast High School.

The bond oversight committee, a group established in 2009 to oversee progress on the $370 million bond issue, will meet at 6:30 p.m. at McAuliffe, 2055 S. 143rd Street East.

Tonight’s agenda includes a report from Superintendent John Allison and a review of current projects by Kenton Cox of Schaefer Johnson Cox Frey, the district’s bond manager.

The Wichita school board has been debating the future of Southeast High School — whether to expand and renovate the current school, build a new one, or both. Members intend to approve a plan June 24.
