An armed man robbed a Family Dollar store in south Wichita on Monday night, police said.

The man walked into the Family Dollar at 1632 S. Broadway shortly after 6:30 p.m. Monday, Lt. Joe Schroeder said.

He pointed a black and silver handgun at a store clerk and demanded money from the register. He then left with an undisclosed amount of cash in a dark-colored Oldsmobile or Cadillac that is at least 20 years old, Schroeder said.
