An armed man robbed a convenience store in south Wichita late Wednesday night, police said.

The man entered the Phillips 66 at 248 S. Hillside at about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money, Lt. Doug Nolte said. The clerk gave the robber a small amount of cash.

The suspect then left the area in a white pickup, the clerk told police.
