Wichita school district to hold Parent University on Saturday at West High

Parents who want to learn more about education and being a champion for their children are invited to attend the Wichita school district’s Parent University on Saturday.

The free event is 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at West High School, 820 S. Osage. Registration and a free breakfast will begin at 9:30 a.m.

The event features workshops on leadership, college and career readiness and school funding and booths with information about district programs and community agencies. The keynote speaker is Mildred Edwards, a member of the Kansas Board of Regents.
