Police seek help with break-in at storage units

The crime

Sometime between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 31, several storage units were burglarized at Scroggins Mini Storage, 6017 S. Oliver. Three vehicles with four occupants were seen pulling into the storage units area. They forced their way into each unit, took a large amount of property and left. The first vehicle was a white Oldsmobile with one man, the second was a white Ford truck with two occupants and the third was a white Ford Explorer with one occupant.

They took several outboard motors, trolling motors with foot controls, approximately 80 fishing poles and reels, more than a dozen tackle boxes, multiple fish finders, camping equipment, hunting equipment and miscellaneous power tools. The loss is valued at more than $60,000, with $2,000 in damage to the units.
