Lynyrd Skynyrd, Theory of a Deadman, Disney’s Bridgit Mendler added to Kansas State Fair lineup

Lynyrd Skynyrd, Theory of a Deadman and teen star Bridgit Mendler are the latest crop of Kansas State Fair Grandstand performers announced by organizers.

Fair officials already have named several musical acts who will perform at the fair, including country star Toby Keith and Kansas.

Mendler, one of the stars of the popular Disney Channel show “Good Luck Charlie,” will perform on Sept. 7. Tickets will be $29 and $44. Theory of a Deadman, known for hits such as “Bad Girlfriend,” will perform on Sept. 13, and tickets will be $25 and $45. And classic rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd will perform on Sept. 14. Tickets will be $35, $45 and $65.

The fair also announced that JT Hodges had been added as an opening act for Keith on Sept. 15 and that Mockingbird Sun would open for Eli Young Band on Sept. 8. The Demolition Derby also will return, on Sept. 9, as will the Outlaw Truck and Tractor Pull on Sept. 11.

Grandstand tickets will go on sale at 8 a.m. May 11. They’ll be available at 1-800-362-3247 or at www.kansasstatefair.tix.com. Grandstand tickets include gate admission when purchased through Aug. 24. For more information and a complete grandstand lineup, visit www.kansasstatefair.com.

The fair will be Sept. 6 through 15 at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson.
