The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday disclosed two recent home burglaries involving losses of around $25,000 each.

Between 2 and 2:30 p.m. April 4, someone entered a home in the 9200 block of South Stearns near Haysville and took three 50-inch flat screen TVs, an Xbox 360, handgun, laptop computer, gray Honda ATV and two black custom motorcycles. The loss was estimated at $25,000.

At 7:34 a.m. April 6, someone forced their way into a home in the 4100 block of West Gustafson, near 53rd North and Meridian, and took a safe containing a savings bond and collectible coins. The estimated loss was $23,600.

Any safe should be bolted into a structure to prevent thieves from taking it, sheriff’s Lt. David Mattingly said.
