Wichita police arrested three people Sunday morning in connection to a burglary at a construction site on West Kellogg.

The incident happened shortly after midnight when a person watching videos from security cameras set up at the construction site in the 8700 block of West Kellogg noticed a burglary in progress, according to Sgt. Bart Brunscheen, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.

The employee told police they saw two suspects try to pull or force their way into several storage units, Brunscheen said.

When officers arrived at the scene, they saw the suspects run to a vehicle and flee through the heavy construction area.

There was a short vehicle pursuit, Brunscheen said. During the pursuit, one person jumped out of the vehicle and tried to flee on foot. He was caught and arrested.

Some evidence from the construction site was also thrown from the vehicle.

When police stopped the vehicle, two more people were arrested.

Police took into custody a 28-year-old male, a 27-year-old male and a 30-year-old female.
