Thunder beats Sundogs in overtime to clinch series

Les Reaney scored 4:13 into overtime, giving the Thunder a 4-3 win over Arizona and clinching the CHL first-round playoff series in Prescott, Ariz.

The Thunder swept the Sundogs 4-0, with three of the four wins coming in overtime.

Wichita took a lead in each period, but each time Arizona came back with a goal of its own.

Gregor Hanson scored the Thunder’s first two goals. Kevin Young’s power-play goal in the third period made it 3-2, but the Sundogs’ Johan Ryd scored his second power-play goal of the game less than three minutes later to tie the score.

Reaney’s game-winner came on a power play, the Thunder’s third man-advantage goal of the game.
