The Wichita Thunder will try to maintain control of its opening-round CHL playoff series when it plays the Arizona Sundogs at 8:05 p.m. Tuesday in Prescott, Ariz.
The Thunder won the first two games of the best-of-seven series at home, topping the Sundogs 4-3 in overtime on Thursday, then 3-0 on Saturday.
The series shifts to Arizona for games Tuesday and Wedneday. Wichita can clinch the series with two wins. If the Sundogs win at least once, Game 5 is scheduled for Saturday at Intrust Bank Arena.
The Thunder took a 3-1 lead in the series opener, allowed two third-period goals, then won in overtime on a goal by Matt Robinson.
On Saturday, Wichita limited Arizona to 11 shots for the game and scored three third-period goals to cement the win.
Matt Summers has scored twice in the series — and has only attempted two shots. Summers, Gregor Hanson and Andrew Martens each have three points in the postseason; Les Reaney has added a pair of goals.
Torrie Jung has started each of the first two games in goal for the Thunder.
Arizona won two of three regular-season meetings between the teams. The first Sundog win was in November and came in a shootout; the teams split two games in Arizona in mid-March.
