The Wichita Public Library is one of 20 libraries that will each receive a $1,000 grant to fund summer reading programs for teens.

The grant comes from a partnership of the Young Adult Library Services Association and the Dollar General Literacy Foundation.

The local grant will help fund “Tinkering Tuesdays,” a series inspired by Make Magazine’s Teen Maker Camp. The program begins May 23 and runs through Aug. 1. For information, call 316-261-8512 or visit www.wichita.lib.ks.us.
