The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office is looking for three women who may be linked to several recent burglaries in the southwestern part of the county.

Authorities released photos from surveillance camera footage of the three “persons of interest” in burglaries that occurred Tuesday near 167th Street West and 31st Street South.

At about 10 a.m. Tuesday, Lt. David Mattingly said, deputies were dispatched to an attempted burglary near 4400 S. Maize Road. Deputies found that a window had been broken on the residence and an audible alarm sounded.

The alarm must have spooked the burglars, however, since there was no loss or entry. About 45 minutes after the initial call, a citizen reported following two vehicles from two residences near 16400 W. 31st St. South. The citizen lost the vehicles and returned to the two homes on 31st Street South.

There, they discovered several items had been stolen: jewelry, a digital camera, a printer and a 46-inch television. Also stolen was a white 2011 GMC Sierra pickup.

Investigators think the same suspects are responsible for all three cases, Mattingly said. The suspects have been described as white women in their late 20s.

Authorities are also looking for a vehicle that may have been used in the burglaries – a 2000 or 2001 silver four-door Toyota Camry with a rear spoiler.

Anyone who has information about the three women or the car is asked to call 911 or the investigations section of the sheriff’s department at 316-660-5300.

Citizens may submit the information anonymously and confidentially through Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111 or by texting Crimes (274637) and entering tip217 plus the message. They may also use the website www.wichitasedgwickcountycrimestoppers.com to provide information.

Another option is the “Report a Wanted Person” form, located on the Sheriff’s Office website, www.sedgwickcounty.org/sheriff, under the “How Do I” link.
