One man has been hospitalized with a stab wound and another taken downtown for questioning following an altercation in southeast Wichita early Thursday afternoon, authorities said.

The stabbing was reported shortly after noon at 622 S. Barlow, which is southeast of Kellogg and Woodlawn, a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. A 64-year-old man was taken to Wesley Medical Center with a potentially serious stab wound in the abdomen.

A potential suspect in the case has been taken into custody and transported to City Hall for questioning, the supervisor said.
