The Kauffman Museum in North Newton is hosting “Lincoln: The Constitution and the Civil War,” through April 5.
The traveling exhibit highlights President Abraham Lincoln’s struggles with secession, slavery and civil liberties. It is free and open to the public.
The Kauffman Museum is located at 2701 N. Main, North Newton. Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. The museum is closed on Mondays and major holidays.
The traveling exhibit on Lincoln was organized by the National Constitution Center and the American Library Association Public Programs Office. It is made possible through a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. Local partners include Bethel College and Newton Public Library.
