Opinion Line Extra (March 18)

We are awash in guns, and politicians are trying to get rid of the safety nets for the elderly, poor, disabled and sick. The middle class is disappearing while the rich get richer, and many jobs are disappearing overseas. We are well on our way to becoming a Third World country.

The poison spread by the progressive movement is the antidote to personal freedom and individual liberty.

So if a pregnant woman gets killed, the murderer is charged with killing two people. Yet abortion says the baby is not a person. Tell me how that makes sense.

Public education does not exist for the benefit of students or their parents. It exists for the benefit of society as a whole. The children of today will be caring for us tomorrow.

I just realized that every time I have a strong opinion on government budget debates, it directly helps me financially. Maybe we should “promote the general welfare.”

Even in the Kansas Star Casino, where I go to escape reality, I cannot avoid seeing Obama’s face on television. Folks, this is overexposure.

It’s not that liberals are afraid of Christians. It’s that false Christians are afraid of liberals.

Do not assume liberals are not Christian. It is your utterly steadfast, overly confident ignorance that we oppose.

Liberal Christians regard paying their taxes as charitable contributions.

No one can declare “there are no absolutes” without uttering an absolute.

There is insufficient wealth in the universe to satisfy the heart a greedy capitalist, so you might as well share some of it.

Our president started as a community organizer. Think about that for a second. What does a community organizer do? “Us against them” sounds really familiar, doesn’t it?

As a registered Republican, I will tell you why I did not vote for the Republican presidential candidates in the past two elections – Sarah Palin and Paul Ryan. Maybe better vice presidential selections would help in the next election.

TSA has announced that it is going to allow pocketknives on airplanes. But it is going to continue confiscate water bottles. And some high-paid idiot thinks this is a good idea.

Someone will have explain to me how eliminating Saturday mail service while continuing Saturday package service saves money. The employees still report to work. The vehicles still run. The only difference is that the mail stacks up.
