How many brackets will you fill out this week?

Wichita State will be a No. 9 seed in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament and face Pittsburgh (24-8) at 12:40 p.m. Thursday in Salt Lake City on TBS.

If WSU were to win, they would likely play No. 1 seed Gonzaga in the third round.

The Shockers (26-8) are making their 10th NCAA appearance. They will go in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 1987 and 1988. The Shockers last won an NCAA game in 2006, when it defeated Seton Hall and Tennessee.

Coach Gregg Marshall is making his ninth NCAA trip, seven with Winthrop.

Kansas is a No. 1 seed and will play close to home in Kansas City, Mo., at 2:10 p.m. on Friday on TNT. The Jayhawks will face Western Kentucky (20-15). A third-round matchup would be against either former KU coach Roy Williams’ North Carolina Tar Heels or Villanova.

The Jayhawks would need two wins to advance to the South Regional semifinals at Arlington, Texas, in Cowboys Stadium.

Kansas State is a No. 4 seed and will also be in Kansas City, but in a different four-team pod. The Wildcats will face the winner of a play-in game between Boise State (21-10) and LaSalle (21-9), at 8:50 p.m. on Friday on TruTV.

The Wildcats’ second tournament game would be against the winner of No. 5 Wisconsin and No. 12 Mississippi.

The Wichita State women’s team, which won the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament title with a 69-65 victory Sunday over Illinois State, will find out its NCAA Tournament assignment at 6 p.m. Monday on ESPN, Ch. 32.
