Thunder beats Arizona in shootout

Chad Painchaud scored the only goal in the shootout, giving the Thunder a 4-3 win over Arizona on Saturday night in Prescott Valley, Ariz.

The Sundogs scored two goals in the final five minutes of the third period to send the game to overtime. Matt Robinson had given Wichita a 3-1 lead with a power-play goal early in the third.

Neil Trimm scored the Thunder’s first goal on a penalty shot, and Nathan Lutz scored in the second period.
