Wild wins in Salina 60-34

Tywon Hubbard ran for four first-half touchdowns to start the Wild on its way to a 60-34 win over the Bombers on Saturday night in Salina.

Hubbard rushed 18 times for 125 yards. Wild quarterback Rocky Hinds, who attempted just 10 passes, had TD throws to Tim Simmons and Joe Kassanavoid.

The Wild improved to 2-0 in the first season of the Champions Professional Indoor Football League.

The Bombers were playing the first game in franchise history. Former Kansas Wesleyan quarterback Dane Simoneau threw four TD passes, but was also picked off twice.
