A Hutchinson man who worked as a bail bondsman was arrested Friday under suspicion of multiple sex crimes, including human trafficking, according to Reno County Sheriff Randy Henderson.
Dwight Jergens arrived in court Friday afternoon for a hearing related to a misdemeanor prostitution promotion case against him and was arrested in the courtroom on a warrant, Henderson said in a prepared statement. Crimes alleged include two counts each of aggravated human trafficking and attempted aggravated human trafficking, and one count each of aggravated criminal sodomy and rape, according to the sheriff.
Jergens is held in Reno County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond, Henderson said.
A judge dismissed the prostitution case without prejudice before Jergens’ arrest, he said.
