Police are seeking the public’s assistance in discovering who set off an acid bomb Saturday night on the porch of a vacant house undergoing remodeling.

The bomb went off at about 9:15 p.m. on Saturday in 1400 block of North Morgantown, Lt. Doug Nolte said. That’s northwest of 13th and Ridge Road.

The explosive-ordnance team was called to the scene and confirmed it was a chemical-reaction bomb, Nolte said. The blast damaged concrete at the house but caused no injuries.

Anyone who has information about the case is encouraged to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
