A passenger car teetering on a concrete median tied up traffic on Kellogg in west Wichita on Friday afternoon.

Wichita police Sgt. Steve Yarberry said the car – a four-door sedan – was forced onto the median after another vehicle switched lanes to avoid traffic and struck it.

The collision happened in the westbound lane on Kellogg between the Seneca and Meridian exits at around 2:49 p.m., a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. At least three people, including a sheriff’s deputy passing by, reported the crash to 911.

One person was taken to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis for treatment of potentially serious injuries, the dispatch supervisor said.
