A man lost his pants in a robbery at an east Wichita hotel Wednesday morning, authorities said.

A man and woman knocked on the door to a room shortly before 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Days Inn at 7321 E. Kellogg, Lt. Doug Nolte said. They were let inside, where they pulled out handguns and threatened the five people inside.

They kicked in a locked door inside the room, Nolte said. They asked about a cellphone, then ordered the 30-year-old man in the room to take off his jeans.

The victim complied, and the suspects left.

The armed man goes by the nickname Trip, Nolte said. He is a black man between 20 and 25. He is 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds, the victims told police. He wore a black shirt and blue jeans and was armed with a black handgun.

The female suspect is a black woman between 20 and 25, victims told police. She is 5-foot-6 and about 220 pounds. She was wearing a brown coat, white shirt and blue jeans and was armed with a silver revolver.

The victims included a 16-year-old girl, women ages 19 and 22 and a 1-year-old boy, Nolte said.
